Introduction to Victoria Street's Café Project

This project focuses on creating a vibrant café at 40 Victoria Street, a picturesque and bustling area in Edinburgh’s old town. Known for its charming curve and colorful shopfronts, Victoria Street attracts tourists and locals alike, making it an ideal spot for a new café amid the existing restaurants and nightlife.

The interior design features elegant marble flooring with warm beige and orange veins, complemented by light-colored peeled plaster walls that maximize natural light, creating an airy environment. The ceilings are adorned with an iron grid, from which tropical plants descend, enhancing the urban jungle aesthetic. In keeping with the elegance of Italian cafés, the café’s logo draws inspiration from the coat of arms of Brescia, featuring a lioness—a significant symbol that connects the brand to Italy’s rich coffee heritage.

Large windows on both floors offer stunning views of Victoria Street while allowing abundant natural light to fill the space. To complement the design, alternating pairs of bamboo and gold chandeliers add to the café's charm, while prints inspired by the shape of coffee beans provide thematic touches throughout. This design aims to create a stylish and inviting space that reflects both local culture and the allure of Italian café traditions.
