Projects
BROADWAY CINEMA REFURBISH FOR EAST LOTHIAN COUNCIL, EDINBURGH, UK
Transformed an Art Deco cinema in a city centre into a versatile community hub, accommodating live performances, cafes, retail, and co-working spaces. Implemented a sustainable approach, combining displacement ventilation and natural airflow to reduce energy costs and enhance comfort.
Optimized energy consumption and reduced emissions through passive design, renewable technologies, and location-specific considerations.
Utilized IESVE software for comprehensive analysis, measuring consumption, emissions, and functional efficiencies to achieve superior performance and environmental outcomes.
CAMERON SMAIL LIBRARY REFURBISH PROPOSAL, EDINBURGH, UK
Proposed a comprehensive renovation plan for Heriot-Watt University's Cameron Smail Library, addressing issues related to natural lighting and acoustic performance.
Suggested replacing the existing roof with a dome-shaped glass structure, equipped with photovoltaic panels for improved energy efficiency and soundproofing qualities.
Emphasized the use of recycled materials, including cullet glass, to enhance sustainability and reduce waste, resulting in significant energy and carbon emission savings.
Addressed acoustic concerns by implementing acoustic fabric panels, insulating materials, and specially designed bookcases for individuals with hearing disabilities, creating a more inclusive and user-friendly library environment.
